Photos: Buhari-Must-Go Protest Rocks Abuja

Many protesters stormed the Dantata Bridge on the famed Airport Road in Abuja, the nation’s capital, early Friday, demanding President Muhammadu Buhari’s resignation, according to RANT HQ BLOG. The protest took place on Friday, October 1, 2021, the 61st anniversary of Nigeria’s independence. The protesters had just converged at the venue to commence their demonstration when operatives of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) attacked the area and dispersed the demonstrators, who had built bonfires on the always-bustling highway. According to reports, highly armed police officers shot tear gas canisters and chased down demonstrators carrying giant banners on Friday.
