The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Professor Olawatoyin Ogundipe, has been sacked by the governing council of the university.
RantHQ Blog understands that his removal was announced during a meeting on Wednesday by the Governing Council of the institution which was held at the National Universities Commission (NUC) building in Abuja.
However, the meeting was presided over by Pro-Chancellor Dr. Wale Babalakin (SAN).
It was also gathered, that seven members voted for the removal of Ogundipe (UNILAG Vice-Chancellor), while four voted against it.
Also, one member voted that he should be suspended instead.
