NANS urges FG to ignore pressure to reopen worship centres

The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, has urged the Federal Government not to bow to pressure to reopen worship centres.

According to the association, the nation is not ripe for such risk of reopening worship centres due to increasing number of Covid-19 cases.

This was contained in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Azeez Adeyemi.

“If Nigeria must win the fight against the spread of coronavirus, every Nigerian must be ready to make sacrifices. Part of this is for Muslims to observe the Eid-el-fitr prayers at home to prevent further spread of coronavirus in the country,” he said.
