Meet Africa’s youngest minister, Emma Theofilus from Namibia

On Sunday Namibia’s president, Haeg Geingob announced a list of 8 non voting members of parliament which were sworn on monday. A list which had record breaking Miss Emma Theofilus. The 23year old law graduate who became Africa’s youngest minister is aware of the enormous burden placed on her and she said she was willing to learn even as she’s aware of the doubts surrounding her due to her inexperience. “I don’t think I am special, but I don’t think I am inexperienced, and I do not think being young or female has anything to do with my appointment. Anything I set myself to and any environment I want to work into, I can do it. So the issue of inexperience doesn’t hold water” she said.
